Learning target: We can recognize good word choice
Most of today was given over to revision with the goal of turning in the script of your digital story next Tuesday. We did, however, talk about the connection between word choice and tone. I posted a table of generic words: "ate," "walked," "looked at," which we changed to create a specific tone.
What is the tone of your story? How can you use your words to convey this tone?
Homework due Tuesday, September 15th
Finish your digital story script
Journal # 1 - Write a self-assessment of your work with the five elements we've talked about thus far: dramatic question, moment of change, character development, unity (beginnings and ends), and now description and word choice.
