Goal for the day:
We’re going to start today talking about schedule, especially as it relates to the SPAM-3 meeting. Since everyone is at very different places in their writing, I want to be flexible in deadlines for getting you the feedback you need. Bottom line – You shouldn’t schedule this meeting until your complete draft is done. And you need to give your advisor at least four days to read your paper. You’ll give yourself a deadline for sending this email, which should also be the deadline for finishing a complete draft.
We’ll do two things today. You’ll do a peer critique on Part II using this handout.
You’ll also review and complete this handout on commas so you can avoid mistakes that will lower your grade.
I’ll also pass out a revised rubric from Matt for the final grade on your paper
Homework due Wednesday, April 22nd
Bring in two printed copies of Parts III & IV, either your written pages or outline
- Complete the Part II Peer Critique
- Prepare your Part III & Part IV (paper or outline) for peer critique
