Goal for the day: Create a timeline for your project
Yesterday you started to think seriously about your focus for the True Wealth project. Today, I want you to share your ideas and get feedback from others. So, we’ll start today in groups with the discussion questions from yesterday. Talk with each other about this project, what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling.
I’ll be drifting and checking in with each group about what resources you think you’ll need.
I’ll also pass out this survey to get a sense for what topics you want your elective classes to cover. This will help me develop a schedule for the next two weeks.
I also showed a couple of short tutorials on Reference USA, a powerful database that you can use to identify competitors, suppliers, and potential customers in our area.
Here is page on the Durango Public Library website that you'll go to. You'll need your library card to access it.
Look at the tutorials under Resource Center (especially this one on how to use the consumer module) and learn how to use this database. It will be invaluable for filling in section 2 of the business proposal and will be helpful for economic development projects.
I’ll try to check in with each person before the end of the period. Use the calendar on the back the discussion questions to create a timeline for yourself.
Homework due Thursday, February 19th
None, but see if you have any missing assignments you can still turn in for partial credit
