Goal for the day:
· Presentation – To complete a draft outline of your presentation
· Paper – To turn in a draft of your essay
We’ll start today with the paneling schedule for senior project presentations. You will panel twice, and for everyone other than those going on the first day, you will panel before your presentation.
Next week, Matt and I will be mixing classes so you’ll have a fresh set of eyes on your work and get a diversity of feedback. Matt and I will be deciding how to run next week based on our sense of where people are at the end of the day today.
Today, we’ll stick with our class. The morning will be work time. I’ll pass out a sheet for you to set a goal to complete something by the end of the day. Two possible targets: a rough outline of your presentation OR your finished paper.
You’ll get a 45 minute lunch. Then, you’ll come back and present something to your peers in a small group. I will make the groups based on your goals for the day. I will provide two handouts, one for those of you finishing up your paper and another for those working on their presentation. You can use these handouts to structure your feedback session.
After this, you’ll have the rest of the time to use this feedback to continue working. I’ll be conferencing and providing feedback throughout the day.
